The Apple Building is an innovative approach by LPC Living and Manchester City Council to providing key worker accommodation. Located on the edge of the city’s fashionable ‘Northern Quarter’, the development comprises 53 one, two and three bedroom apartments available for rent.

Aimed especially at newly-qualified teachers coming to live and work in Manchester, each apartment is designed to ease the demands of today’s hectic lifestyle.

All properties feature fully fitted kitchens, bathrooms and broadband internet access. In addition, the development offers a fully-equipped gym, communal study area, an on-site concierge and secure car parking is available with each apartment.

Prices start from just £385 per month for a one-bed apartment and £475 for a two-bed apartment.

Since the development was launched in August 2005, the scheme has been a huge success with a waiting list having to be set up for the new school year. LPC Living is now in dialogue with a number of local authorities interested in establishing similar key worker schemes elewhere in the UK.
