Southmoor 23

Status: Completed Development

Southmoor 23 was a typical 1960s nine-storey block of apartments in Wythenshawe, Manchester.

In 2001, LPC Living acquired the property and agreed a comprehensive development contract with Manchester City Council.

A £2 million refurbishment was carried out to restyle all 72 apartments to provide contemporary living with laminate floors, modern kitchens and a professionally designed gym.

Security was an issue which is why the site is now protected by 24-hour CCTV and a residential on-site concierge responsible for site maintenance and management.

Each apartment has its own car parking space together with additional spaces for disabled visitors, all in fully landscaped grounds.

Initially, the apartments were available to rent, but by agreement with Manchester City Council they were sold to individuals in early 2004. Prices started from just £45,000 so it’s no surprise over a third of buyers had already been renting an apartment at Southmoor 23.
