Status: Completed Development
In July 2002, LPC Living acquired two tower blocks in Everton, Liverpool. The two blocks had been badly neglected over the ten years they had been in private ownership and major social problems had been created for local residents.
Following successful negotiations with Liverpool City Council, LPC Living embarked on a major £9 million refurbishment of the two blocks, redesigning the layout of each floor to provide 146 high quality apartments.
Launched in June 2003 as View 146 the contemporary apartments offered outstanding views over the Liverpool cityscape, the Mersey and out to the Irish Sea.
The apartments were at real prices within the reach of first-time buyers, key workers and young professionals. Prices started under £50,000 and boasted a plethora of benefits including secure parking, exclusive residents’ gymnasium and on-site concierge.
The public response to the development was overwhelming with prospective purchasers queuing for over 24 hours for the apartment of their choice. Within six weeks, over half the scheme was reserved and by the time of completion in Summer 2004 all apartments had been sold.
