Ordsall Regeneration

In 2006, Salford City Council and LPC Living entered the Ordsall Development Framework (produced in 2004), securing a partnership commitment to regenerate an area totaling almost 73 hectares. The masterplan is the result of years of planning and consultation with existing residents, community groups and award-winning architects, BPTW.

To date over 630 new homes have been delivered under the framework agreement. Additionally, the delivery of Radclyffe Park has provided a new District Centre for the estate, a Travelodge hotel and healthcare facilities including a dentist and an optician. Under the existing framework agreement, LPC Living estimate an additional 500 to 700 units can be built comprising both apartments and houses.

Investments in infrastructure and improvements to Ordsall Hall, as well as the new Oasis Academy MediaCityUK school on Trafford Road, complement the LPC developments within the estate.

Regeneration activity has progressed at an astounding rate and the population of Ordsall ward has increased by 111 % over the period 2001 to 2011 (2011 National Census Data, provided by Office of National Statistics) Ordsall is now the fastest growing neighbourhood across the city.

LPC is currently preparing plans for further sites within the Ordsall Regeneration framework, which will further enhance Ordsall as an attractive place to live.
